The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

*sigh* Naruto is my new obssession. I'd been waiting all freaking year to watch Naruto, I kept putting it off because it's so long, but last week I asked my friend Lucy to borrow her fansubbed Naruto, and it was on. "Sexy no Jutsu!!" hahahaha wtf!
eeeeeeeeeee, I love so many characters!! Shikamaru, Kakashi, Hinata, Temari, Gaara, Lee ESPECIALLY when he's DRUNK HAHAHAHAHAHA that was so funny *am laughing now at the memories*ooooo, can't forget JIRAIYA!! lol he cracks me up! and the list goes on.
but i don't really know why people like Sasuke, personally so far I don't really like him >

LOL I even got my dad interested in this series!! hehehe

hmm, so Naruto makes me feel good.

For other news, I found out a few weeks ago that my Poppop has lung caner, and a heart problem. I found out a few days after my birthday >< my poor poppy! fucking cancer. he may be going for radiation treatment. at the moment it's not attacking him badly, so that's a plus. aiiiyaaaahhhhh, makes me feel like fucking shit. that's why watching anime is good right now, keeps me sane.

blargh. poor pop. myeh, i drew some pictures getting out my frustrations, i might put them up sometime... i dunno.

from what ive heard its like neon genesis evangelion minus mecha, plus genetic testing lol.

insted of piloting giant mechs the guy discovers that he has been tampered with, to try to acheve the ultimate weapon, and he can somehow transform parts of his body into weapons or something. i donno, but it looked cool.
hopefully itll have less scenes where NOTHING MOVES lol.

and ive heard good things about naruto, but i wanna watch these others first
